It is India’s newest flight training academy, is a joint venture between the Airport Authorities of India (AAI) and CAE, a global and leading simulation and training organization with over 60 years of experience in the aviation industry. Gondia Airport (Birshi Airport) is 15 km. from Gondia City. It’s situated near Kamtha Village. The nearest International and Domestic Airports are Jabalpur Airport and Nagpur Airport. Originally it was constructed by british during second world war but after that is had been neglected by the government and it was changed in to ruins.
Adani Power Plant
Adani Power Ltd. launched thermal power plant in Tirora town in Gondia district. It is another mile stone for Gondia. Gondia district has no shortage of talented & skilled peoples but there were very limited sources for Jobs and that’s why peoples are obligated to move out for employment. Mr. Praful Patel is very well aware of it and this is the result of all his afferents.
MIET College
The Manoharbhai Patel Institute of Engineering & Technology is one of the diamonds of Gondia’s crown. It is managed and run by GES society. The president of the society is our loving Civil Aviation minister honorable Mr. Prafulbhai Patel. It covers 50 acres of land. Constructions of about 3 Lakhs Sq. Ft. comprising of well equipped laboratories, classrooms, workshops, centralized as well as departmental level Computer Centers, Library, Training and Placement Cell, Boys and Girls Hostels, etc. within the campus. Apart from that, we have banking facility, cooperative stores etc., inside the campus. MIET has emerged as a one of the premier institute in Central India for over two decades.
The Institute was established in the year 1983. It is considered one of the premier engineering institutes of this region. It has subsequently been granted an "A" Grade by the Government of Maharashtra and NBA accredited. The Institute is affiliated to Nagpur University and is approved by the All India Council of Technical Education (AICTE) and Council of Architecture, New Delhi.
The Institute's infrastructure is second to none-well stocked library, well equipped workshop, state-of-art computer centers, drawing studios, lecture halls, laboratories, conference hall, seminar hall, etc.
Dhapewada Lift Irrigation
Dhapewada Lift Irrigation is very big project on Waingangā River. It will be very useful for Adani and for land irrigation as well.
